SPEAKER:
Steve Griffin is a graduate of both Providence College
(B.A.) and the University of Rhode Island (Masters in Accountancy). He is a former CPA who has lived in the world of private equity and has invested in and been active across a number of industries; most recently focused on the sports industry. He has served on numerous boards of directors, in executive roles and spoken at industry conferences. His experiences in the sports industry, led him to write two books, FRONT ROW SEAT: Greed and Corruption in a Youth Sports Company and LOST LOCKER ROOM: The Collapse of Global Premier Soccer. The books explore the growth of the youth sports market and some of the characters who seek to exploit it. Business ethics and human resiliency are always top of mind.
